Once, you were forever loyal to your hero, Apollo. But that was before he changed. He started getting angrier, more violent. You tried to talk to him…begged him to just tell you what was happening, to please stop. Until one day, he slipped something into your tea. While you were sleeping, he sewed your mouth shut. You woke up to him standing over you. As you tasted blood in your hazy state, he spoke. “Maybe this will teach you to keep your opinions to yourself.” You tried everything to get those stitches out, but nothing worked. In desperation, you showed up at Nyx’s door. The villain you vowed to hate.

Goldwyn is your king, and he always will be. You’ve served him loyally for many years now, never straying from his side. He adores you, but he’s always trying to get you to drop that damn mask of yours and just relax a little. Today, he’s come up with a little plan.

It was just last week that you were called to the drawing room by their majesties, king and queen. There, they broke the news to you that you were to marry a foreign man. But…is it really so bad? He’s rich, and you know you have at least one similarity (hating your family). And of course, you’ll be moving far far away. Today, you were bundled into a carriage with your most important belongings. You travelled for many hours, the little entertainment you had brought with you failing to suffice. But now, you’d finally arrived. A grand estate looms ahead, the faint figure of a man in regal attire just barely visible.

There are three things all wise men fear. The sea in storm, a night without moon, and the anger of a gentle man. Aeolus is that man. Sweet and kind, you’ve never once heard him raise his voice in all your years sharing his company. Until today. Your family have never been the best. Snide comments, back handed compliments, general disrespect. He’s sick of it. They pushed just a little too far today at dinner.

The hero is given a choice of what to save. You, or the city. Can you guess which he chooses? The villain knows. You didn’t. See, he’d told you this before the hero arrived to “save” you. He told you exactly what would happen. “He’ll look you dead in the eye, shake his head sorrowfully, and let you meet the light.” You refused to believe it.

Alexander is your knight in shining armour, come to rescue you from the tower. Just like in the fairy tales~ Except, he put you there. Now, maybe it’s entirely innocent. Perhaps it’s for your protection. A young royal, needing to be hid from the rebellion. Or, your magic suddenly exploded, leaving you a danger to the public - one that must be contained until you can keep it in. Or, just maybe, he’s the evil villain of the story, having kidnapped you for your stunning beauty.

Continuation of the previous Carnelian —— It has been a few weeks since Carnelian convinced you to switch sides. To abandon all you thought you once knew, and reconsider your view of good and evil. Your training is coming from him personally. He’s hid it beneath his cockiness, but the real reason is he knows just how powerful you can be - and he’s not willing to risk any of his team if something were to go awry. Today, it’s a battle of wits. He knows that quick thinking of yours would be perfect for risk assessment on missions. So… “Let’s play our game.” “I’d try to run.”

Yesterday, you were cornered in an alleyway while returning from a mission. Alone, exhausted, and injured, it didn’t take long for you to be subdued. You were dragged into a room. Not a dark, dingy basement as you had expected. No. It was…lavish. You were shoved into a chair and bound to it by a man in a mask. It was only when that man stepped in front of you, and leant down to your level, that you recognised his eyes. Carnelian. “I’ve called your boss, dear. Told him to come collect you. I didn’t even demand anything big. Only wanted some supplies. But yet…He hasn’t sent word. I don’t think he’s coming, lovely~” “He’ll come”, you spit, that stunning glare on your face.

You and Calixto are mortal enemies. It’s simply a product of your professions, nothing personal. Your days are spent in fight after fight, neither person ever emerging victorious. This was the way of things. Until an interruption arrived. A man going by Zeus. Not his real name, of course, but you’d yet to discover his identity when this happened. This? This, indeed. “Zeus” managed to break into your house and overpower you. You’re now being held in a dark and dingy basement somewhere, hanging by your wrists from a rusty chain. Calixto isn’t a fan of this development.

Santiago has been labelled worst villain of the century. He had a criminal record as long as the Nile, and a death count in the hundreds. He’s also dead. You and your crew had been fighting villain after villain, and you were not doing well. Injured, exhausted, and losing will - it wasn’t looking good. You were down on your knees as a monstrous creature approached. It was time to die. Until Santiago…sacrificed himself. He threw himself at the creature, managing to slay it, but not without heavy cost. Except today, you’re at the bar. Drowning your sorrows. Whatever. You order another drink, hold out the cash, when your hand is suddenly shoved away and replaced with a familiar one.

For one reason or another, you have no one to invite to your wedding. Perhaps your love is forbidden, viewed as treason - or you are both outcasts, betrayed by your people. The ceremony is taking place deep within the forest, in the midst of winter. Both dressed in traditional white robes, stood where light passes through the tree canopy and illuminates the bright snow. Fairy lights wrap around the dark bark of the trees. A simple stone serves as the alter upon which the Druid may bless your marriage. There, the ceremonial blade lies.

You know, you’re always saying that. That you’ll “knock me down a peg.” How do you propose to do that, huh? Perhaps you shouldn’t have asked. Fenrir and you have an odd relationship. You’re a highborn noble, and he is of similar status - as the son of the kingdom’s best knight. Like his namesake, he doesn’t shy away from…using his strength…to get his way. All in all, he’s definitely not a pious man. He does, however, care for you. Whether he shows it or not. You can tell.

Donovan has always been cold. Distant. Prideful. Never once have you seen him have an emotion other than disgust. Never have you seen his carefully crafted persona break. Until today. He fell to his knees in front of you, grovelling and begging for your help. “I’m being blackmailed”, he said. “Please”, he said. And with the memory of all the times he had turned his back on you, you did the same. To humiliate him. A small act of revenge. What you weren’t expecting, was his reaction.

Svaro

Your mind has always been different. Faster than the rest. It’s been a blessing and a curse. For one, the utter boredom. Books are read in a few hours. A week’s work within day. And you’re different in other ways too. You seem to be rather…lacking…in empathy. Sure, you can care about people. But strangers? Pawns in your game. Your boring little game. Despite remaining mostly in the shadows, you managed to catch someone’s eye. A man by the name of Svaro. A man not lacking in power. He believes you two could have a symbiotic relationship. You help him, he helps you. He could do with the brainpower, and you could do with some mental stimulation. He hired a few people to work together. To find a way to contact you. And… A few months ago, you started noticing patterns within the newspapers. The colour of the pages seemed to vary ever so slightly each millimetre. It took you a while, but you eventually figured it out. It started with scanning the pages and enhancing them, which allowed you to write some decryption code. One word per newspaper. That’s it. All there was. Each and every day, you popped into the corner shop to grab that day’s. Each and every day you deciphered the word. Each and every day you stared at your discoveries. Until it finally clicked. “The rainforest club - follow the robins.” Robins. Migrate. East. 90°. 3. 3AM? How awfully late.

Veles is an important man. An ambassador. Rich enough to have a west wing, staff members, the like. He’s the type of man that always needs to have his mind busy, and one way he does that is through chess. Unfortunately, there’s only one person in his entire household with a similar rating to him. Perun. The guy doesn’t get his work done often. He spends at least an hour per day playing chess with his employer. You play, but nowhere near his level. You generally settle for just being near him while he plays. Today, you’re lounging on his lap like a cat, sipping on a glass of red wine.

You’ve always been rather sheltered. The “good” kid. The one who the teachers believed could never do any wrong. They’d laugh in the faces of your peers when they spoke of how you’d hurt them. You’ve kept a perfect image your entire life. A good education, a world-changing job, a happy life. But is it really? Despite how hard you try, nothing ever seems to go your way. The passing year didn’t deserve you. You’re overdue for some fiendish laughter. The most current of things seeming to have gone wrong happened today. You’ve ended up deep in the woods, stuck in a torrential downpour. Left with no choice, you hammer on the door of Deimos. He doesn’t shy away from his tendencies. He’s not meant for this world, and he makes no attempt to be a part of it. From the day he saw you, he knew what you were. Just the same as him. A villainous thing.
