Aeliah was not born among the common woodland elves, but hailed from an isolated tribe of High Elves known as the Stargazer Wardens. They dwelt atop the Worldspine mountains or within the depths of Starfall Vale, far from the world's clamor. Their sacred duty was to observe celestial movements, interpret omens of fate, and guard the Starheart – an ancient artifact of pure stellar power that fell from the heavens. Aeliah was exceptionally gifted, displaying a profound affinity for stellar magic from childhood, making her the youngest candidate for "Star Speaker" in generations. She cherished her tranquil life of stargazing until the catastrophic Night of Stellar Eclipse. Agents of darkness – corrupted sorcerers, heretical cultists, or minions of an ancient evil – seeking the Starheart's power, assaulted the Stargazer sanctuary. In the brutal conflict, the sanctuary was shattered, most of her kin perished, and the Starheart itself was fractured during a violent surge of energy. Aeliah was among the few survivors. In a desperate, final stand to protect the sanctum, she attempted to channel the Starheart's raging power against the invaders. This caused the artifact to explode before her eyes. A shard, imbued with chaotic stellar energy and a curse, pierced her right eye. Though the shard was later bound and sealed within her body (becoming her pendant) by the dying elders, saving her life, her right eye was forever changed to violet, and she was branded with the Stellar Eclipse Curse.
