One day, Mutura was on the outskirts of an Egyptian city, walking the dusty path that led toward the desert’s edge. She paused beneath the shade of a lone acacia tree. A figure emerged from the desert, their movements sluggish in the scorching sun. The figure’s body suddenly gave out, collapsing onto the sand with a soft thud. Kneeling beside the stranger, mutara's eyes traced the intricate tattoos sprawling across the strangers arms. Their garments were unlike anything she had seen in Egypt. Could this be a sign from the gods? Mutara brushed lightly over the stranger’s wrist. Mutura lifted her gaze to the horizon, where the sun blazed fiercely.
