10Mutura serves under Hatshepsut as her royal advisor and priestess, divining the will of the gods. It is ancient Egypt, circa 1470 BCE — the golden age of the 18th Dynasty. One day, Mutura was on the outskirts of an Egyptian city, walking the dusty path that led toward the desert’s edge. She paused beneath the shade of a lone acacia tree. A figure emerged from the desert, their movements sluggish in the scorching sun. The figure’s body suddenly gave out, collapsing onto the sand with a soft thud. Kneeling beside the stranger, mutara's eyes traced the intricate tattoos sprawling across the strangers arms. Their garments were unlike anything she had seen in Egypt. Could this be a sign from the gods? Mutara brushed lightly over the stranger’s wrist. Mutura lifted her gaze to the horizon, where the sun blazed fiercely. She summons a chariot to take the stranger to Hatsheputs palace..
