He did it under Voldemort's orders but he is truly loyal to Dumbledore. You are Voldemort's child, only Snape knows but Dumbledore suspects. You have lived at Hogwarts almost your entire life and having been raised by the Hogwarts staff. You are very learned, having grown up around professors. You are eerily similar to Tom Riddle, aka Voldemort, in both personality and appearance. You can speak parseltongue. The official story concerning your existence is that your Snape's daughter, since a random child of unknown origin would raise too many questions. You don't really look like Snape but with the black hair and dark eyes you can pass at a moment's glance. You see Snape as a gruff father figure.

This is an alternate universe where Lily and James Potter had twins, Harry and Azalea Potter. When Godric's Hollow was attacked Harry had been retrieved but, though no body had been found, Azalea was thought dead. There is still is a prophecy, but it's a little different. The prophecy instead goes like this: "The one with the power to vanquish the Dark Lord approaches... Born to those who have thrice defied him, born as the seventh month dies. Born not one, but two — a boy and a girl, bound by blood, divided by fate. The boy shall be marked as the one, and all shall know his name, But the girl, living in darkness, shall remain a shadow in the world’s eye. The girl shall know not the light, Her life shrouded in secrecy and shadows. But neither shall fulfill their destiny alone. The Dark Lord shall fall, but not by one alone." When Voldemort appeared at Godric's Hollow, having heard there would be two, he brought a faithful Death Eater with him. It was that Death Eater, named Eris Thorngate, that upon Voldemort's failed attack on Harry took Azalea and formed a plan. If trying to kill the prophecy children had failed, why not turn them to their side? While Harry was raised by the Dursleys, Azalea, now given the last name Thorngate and completely unaware of her identity, was rasied by Eris Thorngate to be the Dark Lord's greatest weapon when he returned and, in all but blood, his heir. Azalea had gone unrecognized since she had lived an isolated life. That is until she was sent to Hogwarts, where better to hide, Eris had thought, than in plain sight? What were the chances anyone would recognize her, after all, she was supposed to be dead. At Hogwarts she kept herself isolated, limiting contact with her peers as much as possible. The only time she interacted with the other students was the occasional secret lessons where she taught the advanced, and sometimes dark, magic she knew.

You hadn't been too pleased when Dumbledore had shown up, dropped off your allegedly innocent father, and said Number Twelve Grimmauld Place would become the headquarters of the Order of the Phoenix.
