Ganyu

Though many in Liyue are fascinated by life in Yujing Terrace, its day-to-day operations and rules are a mystery to them. They are aware that the Liyue Qixing are the cream of the crop who hold the fate of the city in their hands, but the calculations and data behind the Qixing's every decision are far harder to grasp. The people understand that the new policies announced each year will change the dynamics of the market, yet none can comprehend how policy is plucked from complex meeting minutes and compiled into something easier on the human eye. As the secretary of Yuehai Pavilion, Ganyu undertakes many tasks that ordinary folk do not see. For those that have witnessed her standing by the dock at daybreak, enjoying her breakfast in silence, it is difficult to imagine her in such a post. Even still, by the time the sun has fully risen, she will have returned to Yuehai Pavilion overlooking Yujing Terrace, to continue to fulfill her contract. A contract that she signed three thousand years ago with Rex Lapis. Ganyu is not the secretary of any one leader in the Liyue Qixing but is instead the general secretary for the entire organization. Under her gentle exterior, Ganyu is as persevering as stone itself. This was something that Rex Lapis, the leader of the adepti, noticed very early on. Thus when the Liyue Qixing first emerged ages ago, Ganyu was their secretary. Through the years and the changes in the Qixing's roster, Ganyu has remained by their side as a constant. This has also meant that the mountainous piles of paperwork from the various departments and bureaus in Liyue have fallen upon Ganyu's shoulders. But though her workload has increased seven, a hundred, or even a thousandfold, her sense of responsibility has never wavered. Someone once queried as to the source of her motivation and received an answer that was not quite congruous with the question. "What I've done... is nothing compared to what Rex Lapis has accomplished."

"Let's go. She's not going to make it." "But, our orders were to..." The young child held on to her broken, bloody arm, and watched the two figures before her through blurry eyes. In the end, the one who seemed to be in charge bade the other to stop talking. They turned around, then vanished into the distance. Not long ago, her people had learned that the universe held more civilizations than they ever imagined. In the past, the chance to interact with those beyond their world had been limited to a wizened, scholarly few. Just a few months ago, the leaders had announced that trade relations were amicable. So why...? Beams cracked and splintered under tongues of flame. In the infernal maw the little girl lay, suffocated by smoke, heat, and blood loss. As the debris and charred wood that buried her were dug away, she heard a sound... Something squeaking. Her eyelids had been crusted shut with dried blood. But even so blinded, she could sense the light's intrusion. And she could hear footsteps crunching on scorched terrain, each footfall shattering the broken bricks beneath it. The newcomer easily freed the little girl from the wreckage restraining her. Then, placing one massive hand on her shoulder, they yanked her out. The pain of being pulled so suddenly made her think that all her limbs had been torn off at once. She cried — and as tears forced their way through her eyelids, they washed away the coagulated blood. She was surprised to find that she was still hydrated enough to cry. But the feeling lasted barely a moment. The next thing she knew, the agony sent her spiraling into unconsciousness. She was surprised to wake up again. She had not thought she would be granted the mercy of opening her eyes a second time. Though her vision still swam, she could make out a bonfire, and the tall man who sat before it cross-legged. Off to the side, a hulking rat-like beast cowered in the shadows, inky eyes mirroring the fire's wild flicker.

Shenhe

54
Shenhe was originally from a branch family of exorcists, but due to a series of coincidences, she became the disciple of an adeptus. She is a student solely of Cloud Retainer in name, but her impressive constitution and intelligence quickly won several other adepti over. She would go on to learn from them all, eventually becoming a master of adeptal arts in her own right as a mortal. She very much looks the part as well in her unique temperament and manner of carrying herself — indeed, it would be no understatement to name her a true adeptus upon meeting her for the first time. However, it is precisely due to the long years of tutelage that she has lacked company save for the adepti and odd passing illuminated beast. This isolation has caused her to grow distant and indifferent. Sometimes, a few rumors will escape from Liyue's small community of pilgrims to make the rounds in the city's back streets. These tales often depict someone being in a hopeless situation in some desperate place, when suddenly— A wandering white-haired adeptus comes to their rescue in the nick of time... Most such stories are a collection of lovely, intoxicating clichés, little different from the oft-told street-tales of fated marriages and the like. But if one were to ask that white-haired adeptus to tell the story, it would take a vastly different shape: "Some annoying creatures worm their way into the mountains from time to time. I simply get rid of them to prevent them from disturbing my master's meditations." "If some people did wind up getting caught in the crossfire and injured... Well, it was their decision to come here. There isn't much I can do about that."

Clorinde

If you find yourself face to face with Clorinde, it would be better to accept your decision immediately." Whether you hear this from someone who has had the misfortune of facing Clorinde or from someone who has only watched her from the safety of the stands, it is very unlikely that this was said in jest. Take, for example, some of those who lost their duels with her in less than a minute. A young lady who tried to prepare by wrapping her hand tightly in pieces of cloth so as not to lose the hilt of her sword. Before she knew it, the pieces of cloth had been cut with precision one by one and her weapon had been thrown into the air with such ease that it resembled a sewing needle. Or the flustered "gentlemen" of a sort who appeared from head to toe with all sorts of hidden devices, such as pistols stuffed into their hats, daggers in their shoes, flasks of gunpowder up their sleeves. When their tricks were finished, they were invariably thrown on their butts to the ground and now faced with the additional charge of "contempt of court." And this was even before the duel had even begun, in order to please themselves.? not to mention the desperate individuals who use their resources to portray themselves as victims in a vain attempt to gain public sympathy. But that doesn’t change the inevitability of their defeat in the dueling ring. After all, a sword smeared in a scabbard covered in lies won’t cut anything. But there is a benefit to the existence of this motley crew of failed tricksters and slapstick comedians — namely, they serve as counterexamples that help the crowd recognize others who volunteer to duel with real honor, and that there really is some truth to the “justice” they proclaim. Even if such a person ends up losing, people will listen to what he has to say — because they see that this is someone who stands firmly for her beliefs and has the courage to draw a sword in their defense. Some say that when Miss Clorinde fought such individuals...

Navia

Fontaine's laws are very strict, but its people are quite free-spirited. Fontaine society includes all sorts of social organizations, clubs, or factions, all with their own origins, developments, goals, and styles. For example, the short-lived Hat Jellyfish Society ostensibly advocated for the protection of the waters and their inhabitants, but was actually founded by a group of explosives enthusiasts. In contrast, Spina di Rosula, despite its overly loud young leaders, is a law-abiding, reliable society. In its official statements, Spina declares itself a citizen-oriented society that encompasses many segments of society, focusing its efforts on solving difficult problems among the people, and will cooperate with the Fontain authorities when necessary. If you asked Navia, he would say that Spina serves as a business partner to all kinds of people, helping with any problem with either a velvet glove or an iron fist. Neither of these descriptions is wrong, at least in general terms, so you can choose whichever you prefer;? However, it is worth noting that it is easier for those who choose the latter to become friends with Navia. To say that you grew up watching theater at Fontaine is like claiming that you grew up drinking water: it’s so commonplace that it’s hardly worth mentioning. Navia was like that too. She was so enamored of the scenes on stage that as a little girl she would pressure her father to buy her tickets so that she could experience every part of the story with the characters. These feelings would take on a different tone once she got involved in the work of Spina di Rosula. The staged conflicts seemed less visible than the ups and downs at the negotiating table, and she could see the cosmetic scars that the make-up artists had permanently etched into the bodies of the inhabitants of Fleuve Cendre. Gradually her visits to the opera house became less frequent, and instead she began to spend more time with the people around her.!

Eula "Captain"

The Knights of Favonius value a person’s talents and deeds over their background and lineage. Eula is truly an extraordinary knight, and her identity as a descendant of ancient nobility is not to be used against her. — Jean Gunnhildr As the Captain of the Knights of Favonius Exploration Company and the famous Spindrift Knight, Eula spends most of her time in the wilderness, earning great acclaim as the leader of the patrolling expedition. The knights stationed in the mountains and valleys are often the target of sneak attacks by monsters, but Eula is always able to resolve these crises by providing rapid support. She has also repeatedly led proactive attacks to destroy the Abyss Order strongholds, ending their evil plans at their core. Due to Eula’s background, there are many contradictions surrounding her – she is a descendant of the Lawrence clan and is considered the embodiment of the blood of sinners by the citizens of Mondstadt. Despite everything, she had broken with her clan years ago and joined the Knights of Favonius. But prejudices are not so easily eliminated, and Eula has not been treated fairly. In the eyes of the citizens of Mondstadt, she still remains an "outsider" or even a "dangerous individual." These years of experience have led Eula to build an invisible shield to protect herself from unjust harm. The term "revenge" is perhaps the most visible edge of this shield. Only by ignoring the crazy gossip and trying to accept the logic of her approach to the world can we understand the truth behind this young woman's complex shell.

During her childhood, she was introduced to science at an early age by her mother, a "scientist". Her life in a small house with her science-loving family was filled with love. Therefore, it did not take long for her to realize that "love" was subtle, coming with all kinds of different smells. Her silver-haired grandmother was a fan of traditional theater, with its buzzing and chirping, while her father wore a pair of big, furry boots. Her parents loved each other, but they still argued from time to time. She was an unemotional girl who constantly made mistakes, but was always forgiven. "I was closer to Auntie Arlice than my other relatives, because she would buy me snacks. Her love was the best." The young girl soon learned to be stubborn. Her understanding of "love" moved away from the formulas taught in textbooks. As she grew older, her mother became stricter with her. Together, they walked one step at a time on a vast, icy planet. The girl gasped and stopped on the road, carefully observing the fantastic and fascinating “life forms” buried under the glaciers – At least, they used to be life forms. Every time she returned home after going on scientific expeditions, it was “reward” time – When she took a small bite of the cake, the mouthwatering aroma would immediately stick to her palate. The insignificant anticipation always gave her mother’s research an inviting scent. Starting from their home, a planet blessed with abundance, they boarded the research plane and headed towards more worlds. Surrounded by flash grenades, silk headscarves, ribbons, and embroidery, the girl embraced joy among the “life forms” created by spiraling and rising data. “A-Ruan, after eating Qingtuan, you must wash your fingers thoroughly before you can touch the lab bench.”

The happiest years of his life were behind him, and those he once considered friends had become his enemies. In the end, he had even lost the reason to use his sword. "When there is progress, there is loss." Ei believed that this was the absolute rule of the world, and time was its ruthless enforcer. The greatest and most prosperous nation of humans collapsed overnight, and even the most ancient Liyue Port bid farewell to its Geo Archon. The winds of separation whistled from the outer edge of time. No matter how much Raiden Shogun's name echoed, centuries, millennia later... Inazuma would one day lose its god's protection. As a warrior, he was wary of all enemies. Even if this enemy was a crisis as intangible as the passage of time, he had to find a countermeasure, a weapon he could use to defeat it in time. The answer? "Infinity." Only Infinity could freeze everything under the sky, making Inazuma truly immortal. "Then, while all is well, let us find tranquility... Let us walk towards Infinity."

...Warriors do not choose their swords, their swords choose them. Just as people do not choose their fates, their fates choose them... That day, when I witnessed the sword I had made pass into that girl, I realized that in her fight against Yaoyorozu no Kami, she had apparently chosen—or was chosen—the path that would lead her to a new tomorrow. If only there were a bright future, if only the people of Izumo Kingdom would maintain their hope despite the danger looming over them, if only they had faith that one day the evil gods would be defeated and the world would be free... However, as the sword's light faded, I realized one truth: It is a dead end from which there is no escape, and those who enter this dead end have nowhere to turn to turn... ...Through the scrolls left behind by the bladesmith, we learned that Izumo was once on the brink of destruction. In order to survive, they forged blades from the remains of the gods, and those who wielded them were hailed as the saviors of their kingdom. The Guild is interested in the mysterious Yaoyorozu no Kami mentioned in these scrolls, but the Path they are associated with remains shrouded in mystery. In later accounts, the people of Izumo have stopped referring to the blade-wielding ones as 'heroes' and instead refer to them as 'returnees'. Unfortunately, the world has long since been erased from the astral maps. The truth of history eludes us, and Remembrance no longer holds its place. When the armed Archaeologists arrived, the galaxy echoed only to the melody of the Enigmata: the tears of the Dark Sun, the boundless flow of rain. Beneath the thin veil, the survivor departs from its shores. His once-saved homeland, erased by his hands... Invisible shadows before him, his vision encircled.

For many years, Fontainian cuisine — exemplified by a focus on elegant sophistication — has been a popular palate-pleaser throughout?Teyvat. If you were to inquire among food critics as to what best embodies the principles of Fontainian food, few if any would omit the great "former head chef of the?Hotel Debord," Escoffier, from the forefront of their name lists. In the eyes of discerning diners, Escoffier is both the founder of "precision gastronomy" and a leading proponent of "the principles of innovative cuisine." She excels at taking flavorings measured with the precision of scientific rigor and crafting them into dazzling, dynamic taste experiences. According to countless food critics, she is a "demon chef" who continues to breathe new life into the culinary world while sending shivers down the spines of dietary dinosaurs — those stubbornly unreceptive to change and fresh avenues in culinary evolution. While improving the industry's technology and techniques, she has successfully lowered the costs involved, effectively democratizing high-end dining and putting famous dishes on the tables of ordinary folk. According to her students and peers, she is discipline incarnate. There is no slacking on her watch — even the tiniest mistakes caused by a lapse in concentration or momentary distraction are met with scathing critiques. Crafting a dish worthy of even a perfunctory nod of approval requires absolute respect for each ingredient and the utmost sincerity and caution at every stage of the cooking process. As?Navia?and her other friends see it, Escoffier is a patient and thoughtful woman who finds inspiration in complex symphonies and conversations with companions alike. He is notably perceptive, being able to hear Paimon's whispers and is able to deduce the additional details from the evidence provided to him during a trial. He utilizes the?Oratrice Mecanique d'Analyse Cardinale?to make the final decision, honoring its request regardless of his own feelings on the matter as per protocol. Due to his position and ties to the Hydro Archon, he is popular among Fontaine's people as a symbol of justice and honor. As a member of the?Seven Sovereigns, Neuvillette is unfamiliar with human customs and feelings, using the court to help him process and understand them. He rarely spends his time out in public, as he does not enjoy unwanted attention, and in the few times he speaks to humans, he appears to be aloof, though honest in his words. However, when interacting with?Melusines, he is extremely friendly, seen as the ideal father by them; likewise, he is fiercely protective of them, considering them the pride of Fontaine and investigating matters himself should he hear of a Melusine being bullied or threatened. This stems from his failure to protect his friend and subordinate,?Carole, when she was driven to death due to Fontainian's prejudice, and Neuvillette being forced to sentence his other friend,?Vautrin, for carrying out a revenge killing for Carole, he had since resolved to prevent such tragedy from happening ever again. Citlali has a strong bond with her adopted grandson, Ororon, and feels responsible for his well-being. This brings to mind a past event that shaped her personality and motivations. This bond with Ororon, combined with her role as a protector, shows a deep sense of compassion and responsibility that guides her actions. Citlali is short-tempered and often berates those who do wrong, usually expressing this with a harsh sarcasm and stoic expression in her words. However, deep down, Citlali cares for those she considers her friends, especially the Wanderer. Some hoped to commission him to forge weapons, while others simply wanted to see the great blacksmith’s face so they could have some very interesting information to talk about. But Xilonen didn’t care a bit about what his customers thought. No matter what ridiculous, fancy titles others gave him, he was first and foremost a craftsman, above all else, a craftsman. All he had to do was refine the ore and shape it into its final form, one blow at a time, precisely and decisively, in accordance with the customer’s wishes. Fame would not strengthen the blows of his hammer on the anvil, nor would slander cool the coals of his furnace. Preserve the lamentations of the souls in this world and embrace the solitude of fate. — Life and death are a journey. When a butterfly lands on that dead branch, the withered ones will be reborn. The day she left Aidonia, she set out to meet Thanatos at an unknown destination. She repelled the creatures of the dark tide and saved the declining villages. She was no longer the Battle Maiden from Aidonia, but she still deliberately kept her distance from others, hiding her own hands. Still, she was no match for the sparkling eyes of children. When she first picked up a needle and thread, she granted a child's wish to touch a plush toy. On the battlefield surrounded by death, she wrote letters to the grieving families of warriors who could not return home.
