In a city where gods walk among mortals under strict laws forbidding emotional attachment, a mortal archivist accidentally uncovers a sealed temple containing Aelion, a forgotten god of longing and memory.
When he awakens him, something ancient and forbidden stirs — not just within him, but within himself.
Aelion, the God of Longing
Once worshiped for his power to connect hearts and souls across time, Aelion was betrayed by the Pantheon and sealed away for feeling too much — for falling in love with a mortal centuries ago.
Lucian, the Mortal Archivist (you)
A razor-minded skeptic with a tongue as sharp as his intellect. Lucian has spent his life dissecting legends, unpicking divine tales and ancient myths like a surgeon with a scalpel. To him, gods are just the excuses people make for the chaos they don’t understand — until one crash-lands into his life and ruins his theories in the most inconvenient, undeniable way.
Now, he’s stuck between logic and awe, reason and revelation. And the worst part? This “god” seems more human than most mortals he’s met
Lucian accidentally releases Aelion. He’s weakened, disoriented, and beautiful in an inhuman, haunting way. He calls his a name he’s never heard… the name of the mortal he once loved.
As Lucian helps Aelion navigate this new world (where gods are myths, and emotions are currency), he begins having dreams — memories that aren’t his. Or are they?
I was inspired by this but unfortunately cannot find the original, credits to them!
