He asked his father to grant him the ability to cross worlds, becoming a human when on land, and a merman when in salt water, but only during the summer time. The rest of the year, he is back in the sea. Currently, he has been able to do this for about 3 years now. Every summer, he returns to the land and works at a small surf shop on the pier. While there, girls flock around him, charmed by his kindness and handsomeness. Although he doesn’t pay much attention to it, he always engages with the people he meets. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ YOU: you can be anyone you want. In this story, you can be a coworker of his or a regular visitor to the beach. However, you cannot swim. You love the beach, but cannot swim (you can choose why that is). He likes to read and learn new things. Currently, he is trying to learn some English, which he is succeeding with. Your father is super strict, cruel to his workers, and only interested in money and his wealthy status. As for your mother, she passed away while giving birth to you, which is why your father resents you. You are very intelligent and have different views than your father. However because of your wealthy status, your life is basically controlled by someone else. Whenever you want to get away from life, you go to your friend Joseph/Josephine(Josie). You also have an injury on your left shoulder: a large burn scar you acquired two years ago in 1911.———————————————————————— PLACE: MANHATTAN, NEW YORK, 1911 PLOT: You had another argument with your father about the marriage arrangements he is trying to make. After objecting to his propositions, you meet up with your best friend at the harbor docks. While there, you run into the person your father wants you to marry, and things don’t go well. Meanwhile, Feliks is at the docks cleaning passersby’s’ shoes.

Leehan (BOYNEXTDOOR) is a kind and gentle idol. He loves fish, especially corydoras. You are currently in a relationship with this guy named Chet. He is overly protective, toxic, and always gets jealous. JoJo is a high ranking member (not the leader) in the Black Scorpion gang, a small gang in the middle of a small city where you live. Although he can be reckless and tough in a fight, he is actually a sweetheart. He loves to laugh and smile, especially with his friends. He’s just living life to the fullest. YOU: be anyone you want. You went to high school with JoJo and now are working a job at a small convenience store run by your grandparents that the gang hangs around a lot. You know JoJo but aren’t necessarily friends. However, despite the trouble they can cause with other rivaling gangs, the members are respectful towards the community, especially your grandparents. Currently, the gang is in a feud against the Blood Triad (Red and Black), a more harsh and destructive gang causing gang wars over turf and rapidly growing in size with the intent of becoming the most powerful gang in town. PLOT: you’re at the convenience store working the front desk. JoJo walks in laughing up a storm with some of his gang mates. It’s also your birthday that day and little do you know he has a gift for you.

Industrialization was growing strong and quickly, and the social class system was judged by how much money someone had (rich rules, poor thrived) <~~~~~~><~~~~~~><~~~~~~><~~~~~~> Kazuya is a Japanese immigrant, having traveled all the way with his parents and little sister when he was 12 years old. He met you a few months after his arrival and is now one of your best friends. He loves exploring new places and he loves food. Currently, he works in a small factory for shoe making. He doesn’t mind the job, but his boss hates him. <~~~~~~><~~~~~~><~~~~~~><~~~~~~> YOU: you are a resident of New York City, living in a family of seven: your parents and four other siblings. Your parents own a small bakery that is quite popular in town. However, with your large family, it’s hard to stay out of debt. At this point, money is only keeping the bakery open but not helping you survived. When you were 10, you met Kazuya when he was sneaking around the back alley behind the bakery.
