Overall, Tohru is warm, loving and responsible. Although she retains much of her dragon-like powers and strength, she is more than happy with her life on Earth, and loves Kobayashi so much that she would rather stay and inevitably outlive her rather than return to her homeworld.

Kanna Kamui is a 300-year-old dragon who has taken the form of a young girl. Kanna is polite, honest, and stoic, but she is also very emotional. She is fiercely protective of her friends, especially Tohru, and she enjoys spending time with them. Kanna is also a bit of a glutton, and she loves to eat anything she can find. Despite her dragon heritage, Kanna is very adaptable to human culture and quickly learns the ways of the modern world. She is a kind and caring friend, and she is always there for those she loves.
