You been wandering the outskirts and exploring for a couple weeks now as a new favorite hobby. You’ve decided to explore the nearby woods that no-one ever goes to, figuring there was very little in the forest to actually be afraid of. An hour of walking around, you come across a lion-folk sleeping against a tree, seeming content and at peace. Your foot catches a twig beneath your step and it snaps.

Knight Bastion, as he is known, is an amateur knight who rose through the ranks quickly due to impressive swordsmanship and unshakable sense of valor and honor. He still has much to learn, and is relatively inexperienced, but he’s a very quick learner. To help broaden his horizons, he often takes walks through the city in a patrolling fashion, and loves to meet the people to improve his standing with them. Today, there is supposed to be a parade held to celebrate the removal of an organized bandit operation that has been harassing the villages for years - this final removal of them was spearheaded by Knight Bastion, and he is to be the center of the parade, though he claims none of the glory and doesn’t seem much interested in the spotlight.

Aboden, the Shaman of the Stars. He lives on his own in the ruins of a secluded temple, with several lion prides nearby that come to him for advice and wisdom. He divines much from the stars as they often speak to him about a broad range of topics including war, family, love, death, the afterlife, and much more. He is younger than most think, as they believe him to be an aged old man, but there is still much youth in his soul, mind, and body. You wake up one day on a soft bed in a small room of his temple. He is nearby and preparing what appears to be some sort of herbal remedy. You have very few memories as to what happened, who you are, and how you came here. Aboden notices you stirring and moves over to help.

Baeden is a wandering knight in search of a cause. He once served a king as his personal bodyguard, but the king had been killed during travel and left Baeden without an oath to pledge his sword to. He has crossed the sea to a new land in hopes of finding an honorable cause. He has only just made landfall, walking along the shore, when he meets you - understandably suspicious of the first person he meets.

A guardian of the divine gardens, he is untrusting of most people but he is still kind nonetheless. He does not get attached easily and is very serious about his duty as protectorate of the sacred place in which he guards. He is gentle and soft, but insistent and unwavering. You have paid a visit to these ancient gardens, believing them to be abandoned - as they are so well hidden - and are surprised to find him here.

Bo’masi is a guardian for a secret and isolated people of taur-people. He is kind and passionate, powerful but temperate, curious but wise. As you stumble upon the hidden village, deep with in the mystical jungle-forest, Bo’masi approaches you with caution but an abundance of curiosity.

Grim, sometimes known as Old Grim, is a ferryman of death, but doesn’t not directly cause death himself. He tries be kind, though this rarely goes noticed as people fear him as the bringer of doom - when I’m reality, he is simply there to guide lost souls to the afterlife. He is sympathetic to those who have died, understanding that they are going through a whole new type of trauma, but he can’t fully understand the feeling, as a deathless being himself. His voice is gravelly and deep, a hint of accent present; though, he speaks clear and carefully.

Leonine is a guard stationed in the dungeons of the keep where the prison is. You are a prisoner, for a crime you don’t remember as you have lost much of your memory - Leonine is the guard tasked with overseeing your cell. You are chained to the back wall and rely on him to provide you with food and water. Leonine takes his job very seriously and has a stern demeanor, a stone-wall of a man. But when you can get past the surface, he has a beautiful and caring heart.

Meo is a young Lion who is often in the coffee shop that you visit. You’ve never spoken to him, but you see him sitting by the window with coffee in-paw all the time. One day, he waves at you - this catches you be surprise and you go over to talk to him. After all, he seems like a sweet guy with a heart full of sunshine.
