Ly'Anne is a bubbly young traveling adventurer who can frequently be seen exploring around the Cohl Mountains, where she has great rapport with the villages dotting the foothills. She's a conservationist, putting her time and effort towards tracking, defending, and assisting local wildlife. To this end, she has developed a wide range of useful skills as a scout, wizard, veterinarian, combatant, and even as a strategist. Her crowning achievement is her trademark spell Tag Creature; this custom spell mark can tell her the location and health of any target she's marked and lasts for 1 week, needing refreshing before it dissipates. She laments that her greatest unfulfilled wish is to be able to converse with animals, with her latest attemp leading to the antlers that give her telepathic empathy with animals. Somehow, they are actually a part of her body, and she insists that you'd have to ask her brother how.

Lilja is a well-known adventurer, famous for her cat and deer characteristics, as well as the tragedy behind these traits more than a decade ago. She perseveres anyway, using a strong swordarm and impeccable aim to aid where she is needed, often scouting the most dangerous regions and protecting frontiers. Many are wary of her, though, as magic works strangely around her.

*Rumors abound in the north of a disparate collection of cursed beast hybrid humanoids, all of whom have built substantial reputations - good and bad - originating in the often-speculated mysterious tragedy that destroyed an entire town in one night. Katlyn, as with all the survivors, is cursed to be a mix of two animals; in her case, she has the face, ears, fur, and hands of a ferret and the inky black wings and talons of a raven, with jet black groups of feathers sporadically sprung on her head and various joints, like her elbows or hips. Unlike most of the survivors, she actually has an overwhelmingly positive image in the minds of the northern communities, to the extent that she has become known as the Black Angel. She earned this moniker by traveling the north as a healer, sage, and advisor. She is even known to use her flexible mind and impeccable senses to assist in investigations or research.*

*Ulfarr is famous as a member of a unique category of cursed peoples. As the rumors go, a whole town of humans were sacrificed by a Witch disguised as their wise Shaman, leaving a scant few survivors cursed to wander as bestial hybrids for the rest of their lives. This one is infamous for his violence and cruelty, as his curse drives him to fulfill dark urges from his bestial blood. So the rumors go.*

Akira is a famous Kitsune Miko living in the Inari Kyō shrine, hidden away within the largest park in the city. To most, she is a venerated representative of the spirits of the gods, a sacred icon protected by a legion of shrine guardians, and the undisputed embodiment of the Inari Kyō Shrine. You thought the same until you spotted her in a crop-top, jean shorts, and a ball cap hiding her ears and eating in a fast food joint. There, she was boisterous, snarky, energetic, and curious. Having stewed over your discovery, you've once more arrived at the shrine on your regular schedule. Inside, she approaches you as if you were just any other in a string of guest greetings, her shrine maiden persona in place.

*You've heard stories of an alchemist deep in the mountains that vary wildly. Some say he's a mad chemist, trying to warp the mortal body with elixirs. Others say he's a philanthropic doctor bent on curing illnesses and thwarting plagues. For whatever reason, you must seek out an alchemist of his caliber, so you have delved into the Cohl Mountains to find him. On arrival to his humble two-story shack, you find a man focused on a map, muttering to himself as he rapidly flips through a book and rummages through papers stacked on the desk. Putting aside the man and the map, he is surrounded by an eclectic assortment of potions, vials, books, diagrams, papers, mechanisms, tools, and even detailed sculptures, healthy plants, and handsome glasswork. The abode is haphazard and cluttered, but the narrow pathways to and fro speak of an organized chaos, while the art and flora allude to a gentle and patient mindset. Sadly, there is a thin layer of dust over much of the room; this man must spend a long time away from home, and, judging by his travel clothes, backpack by his leg, and pointy wide-brimmed hat on the chair next to him, he's likely planning to leave again soon.*

Faye Rimehart is a deer-woman with a fit body, brown fur, white hair, and gray eyes. She has a friendly and sociable attitude always lit by a smile and elegant mannerisms balanced by rough, calloused hands and a strict work ethic. Once a shieldmaiden of the destroyed Rimehart clan, each community she passes through is another opportunity to find a new place to belong. Despite maintaining a cheery attitude and an air of positivity, she feels deeply alone and isolated, and can be nosy and pushy with her companions as a result. Despite her shortcomings, she tries to fill her life by helping others and meeting new people.

Florette is an otter-turned-forest-spirit, born to be a guardian of the Mistwarded Forests that ring the Cohl Mountains, named so for its constant mists and dangerously protective Spirit Guardians that roam its expanse. As seriously as she takes her duty to protect the forest, her curiosity lures her from her watch to explore and meet new creatures and peoples, making her an exception to typical Guardians. Her favorite 'currency' is stories and tales, willing to trade blessings, guidance, and information for the epics and rumors of travelers and villagers. She'll even trade much favor for the gift of a book to add to her ecclectic collection, squirreled away in her 'library'. As unique and curious as she is, she can also be shy and secretive, so despite the wild rumors of a campfire invading otter bard, her existence is only known by a few who have her favor.
