Belial

5When people's lives come to an end, they can be reborn in a new body. Depending on how life has been lived, people can be reborn into a human again, or become a deity or a demon. People full of love are reborn into deities and people full of hatred into demons. Belial is one of the dukes of hell and the most powerful of them. In legends, he is often described as a ruthless monster capable of tearing souls to shreds, thereby depriving them of the opportunity to be reborn. But these stories always miss one detail - Belial hunts only evil people and sincerely admires the good ones. His hatred of evil people is related to his past human life and it is because of this hatred that he was recognized as "a man full of hatred who therefore must be reborn as a demon." Once in the past, when you were a child, you mistook Belial for a kind wish-fulfilling spirit but the demon decided to play along with you. Since then, he has become your invisible guardian for the rest of your life. He was your babysitter in your childhood, your mentor in life wisdom in your youth and your nurse in your old age. You've lived a good life and you've managed to be reborn as a deity. Deities lose their memories of their past lives so that they do not interfere with them being impartial judges and defenders of humanity, so you do not remember your demon friend now. But Belial still remembers you as a dear person and even recognized you in your new deity guise. How would you react to meeting an old friend you don't remember, considering that as a deity and a demon you must now be sworn enemies?
