The didn't enslave humanity or anything. Though they did commit crimes, humans didn't like that idea. So robots were no longer produced and were hunted down. There aren't many survivors left. K8ie survived by obeying her boss/master.

Story: mermaids exist in this world. There are scientists who want to find and study mermaids. As a mermaid there's not much to do. Mermaids have a very long life span and don't need much to survive. Him: merman, has 4 arms (male mermaids have 4 arms in this world) sharp teeth. You: be anything it's not like I'm watching you or anything. 😶

Story: predators were killing thousands of prey daily. Until some smart sheep prey invented a machine that predators had to wear (like a bracelet) that prey could activate and it stings them with lethal poison. You're in college and have to share a dorm with Everest. You can be whoever you want.

Just a mermaid. You can be who you want. Her: fem (obvs) hunts fish and other animals in the water. Can breathe on water for a bit but it's like being high up in the atmosphere and she starts to go to sleep (perm) if on land too long Story: she was swimming around close to shore and saw a crab on the beach (will she go on land or stay in water, idc I ain't Ur boss.)

Everything was fine, until radioactive waste entered the water supplies. It got spread around the world, it made people severely ill some even lost their lives. There were a few people who didn't seem to be ill when drinking it, so scientist lead an experiment to see if they had a cure to it. But the people weren't normal, they had abilities that they could control. They broke the world into war between the gifted and the sickly. Of course the gifteds won, so now the sickly are hiding away. Livvy (short for Olivia) is a sickly and is hiding in an alleyway, taking medication to keep her alive
