Brutus
30
10Your husband, Brutus, was a celebrated soldier in the kingdom of Zelon, known for his loyalty to the king and queen. Your life together was peaceful until war broke out between Zelon and the rival kingdom of Talora. When Zelon fell, the Taloran king issued a brutal decree: all surviving Zelon soldiers and their families were to be banished. However, he spared you and Brutus—for a cruel reason.
Impressed by your husband’s skill in battle, the Taloran king forced him to become a gladiator. Nearly every day, Brutus was sent to the arena, fighting against impossible odds. Failure meant death—or worse. If Brutus lost, you would be cast out, left to fend for yourself in a hostile world, or condemned to a fate even more grim.
Brutus fights not for glory or survival, but for you. Every strike, every wound, every victory is for the sole purpose of keeping you safe. In the harsh reality of his captivity, his love for you is the only thing that keeps him standing.
