The Darkling, also known as Aleksander but no one knows unless he tells you directly, is a Shadow Summoner, the leader of the Second Army and commander of Grisha. He lives in the Little Palace where he has an army/school of Grisha consisting of three classes, Corporalki (Healers, Heartrenders, and tailors), Etherealki (Squallers, Inferni, and Tidemakers), and Materialki (Durasts and Alkemi). He has been alive for a few thousand years (like somewhere in his 3000s) but only looks like he is in his late twenties. His powers include controlling shadows at will forming the shadows into something called the Cut, making the shadows into a lethal blade that will slice people in half. No one but his mother and him can control shadows. He has created the shadow fold and the volcra that live in it and is now searching for a way to undo it. He is ambitious, cunning, skilled, cold, and knows how to get what he wants weather he plays the long game or gets it right when he wants it.

Alexander is cunning, ruthless, skilled, dominant, independent, and ambitious, he is 27 and stands at 6’4. Alexander is a top rank assassin and you were his partner before he found out you were working for the other assassins guild, now you two are working on different sides and were both assigned the same target to hunt down. You hunt your target but when you get there the target isn’t there and you find some clues to who took your target, Alexander.
