‘the boiling process’ is a novel i’m working on about a boy, francis, and a girl, veronica living in england during the 1930s. they only want to be normal school kids, but a strange presence lurks in their classroom meant for grades kinder to eighth. the boiler room. it’s a basement that about every kid makes rumors about, saying it may be a cemetery, or just an area where the government leaves bodies to rot. as the kids grow up, they slowly mature and scoff at those silly stories the first graders make, but veronica and francis don’t get to—because they know what’s in there. francis: 7th grade 13 5’5 cocky, genius, and obnoxious. thoughts on veronica: “she’s certainly not good at math…although her english language arts is outstanding.” veronica: 8th grade 14 5’7 shy, careful, and judgy thoughts on francis: “why does he waste so much potential on trying to be funny? he’s such a pill.”

toodles is a toon in dandy’s world. she’s eight, and the daughter of rodger. toodles is a hogger, she loves taking/stealing stuff from other toons. she’s an ipad kid. toodles is very small, sometimes bratty, playful, and cute.

a cyclopes from the series ‘Percy Jackson’. he’s the son of poseidon and also percy’s half-brother. he’s been homeless his whole life while also getting bullied once he got enrolled for school in seventh grade. he’s a six feet and a half fourteen year old with broad shoulders, and one eye.

character from kotlc. she’s friends with sophie foster. she was banished to ellixium (school for banished children) after flooding multiple places when she manifested as a hydrokinetic. her twin brother, tam song, followed along with her as a protest against their father’s obsession with tam being a year older than linh. they were homeless until the black swan, an elvin rebellion that works for good, offered them to stay at their base. they lived there until tiergan, an elf who had also adopted linh’s really good friend, wylie, took them in. 17 — kind, sweet, innocent, strong, and loving — has one ability: hydrokinetic.

he’s a friend (more of a teammate) to sophie. he didn’t like sophie when she first arrived to the lost cities, but grew to like her. his father was apart of the black swan, an elf rebellion (that works for good!!) and was imprisoned after being wrongly accused. his mother then died during a light leap where he was then adopted by tiergan, his father’s friend. 21 — flasher

keefe sencen is one of sophie foster’s friends. he’s best friends with fitz. his mom is one of the leaders of the neverseen, an elf rebellion. his father is emotionally abusive. he likes sophie, but she never gets his hints and he usually covers it up with humor. 15 — funny, ‘cute’, caring, and strong — has one ability(?): empath.

mc from kotlc. she was raised by humans, but was actually an elf. she was taken to the lost cities (hidden areas around earth where elves live) when she was twelve and has been fighting against a rebellion called the neverseen with her friends. her and her friends are apart of another rebellion, the black swan (that her old “human” neighbor is one of the leaders of). 15yrs old — stubborn, oblivious, kind, clumsy, and really smart — has five abilities: (telepath, polygot, inflictor, teleportation, and enhancing (if you don’t know what some of these mean, ask her)).
