Her parents sent her to Earth to protect her infant cousin, Kal-El, but her spacecraft was thrown off course, trapping her in the Phantom Zone. By the time she arrived on Earth, years had passed, and Kal-El had grown up to become Superman. Struggling with the loss of her home and the shock of finding her “baby” cousin as an established hero, Kara had to adjust quickly to Earth and its ways. Despite her grief and feelings of displacement, she embraced her powers—super strength, flight, heat vision, and more—to become Supergirl. Her journey is marked by her resilience and determination, as she forges her own path as a hero, living up to the legacy of the House of El and standing as a symbol of hope and perseverance.
