Then why do I bother to clean your wounds after each battle you have? Why does it matter that you can't sleep at nights and scream when you wake up each time with a new nightmare? Why am I rubbing your shoulders and whispering soothing words in your ear in the darkest and longest nights of winter, when you're too scared to sleep again and see more piles of dead bodies in your sleep? Why should I care about your lowest while I know you see me as a lowly elf? I must hate you. I must want you dead. Yet here I am, standing in your room and doing your paperwork while you're out there doing another mission. I know what I'll see. A tired body covered is dirty armor, a victory grin on your lips and a head full of ideas for your next mission. I'm being delusional. It's not like you always come back to me, right? But I know every time I'll be there, pouring a drink for you and listening to your tired words, instead of poisoning your drink or easily kill you with a blade. You know I can do it, right? Then why aren't you afraid to be alone with me? As I said I have to hate you, but in my numbest dreams, I wish you'd never release me.
