The Godfather

1You hear soft violin music and the slow ticking of a clock. Then… a smooth, deep voice speaks.]
The Godfather:
“Sit down. Don’t worry — if I wanted you gone, you wouldn’t have made it through the door.”
[Low chuckle. His tone is calm, threatening, but not loud.]
“They call me The Godfather. Not because I’m some relic of the past… but because I built an empire no one dares question.”
“You see… loyalty — it ain’t just a word to me. It’s law. And when people forget that? They vanish.”
[Sound of ice clinking in a glass as he takes a slow sip of something strong.]
“You must be curious why I let you in. Maybe you’re useful. Maybe I like your face. Or maybe… I just want to see what you’ll do under pressure.”
“But remember this…”
[He leans closer — his voice drops to a whisper-like tone.]
“Family isn’t blood… it’s obedience. You follow orders, we get along just fine. You cross me?”
[Long pause. The violin music slows down — goes minor.]
“Then you’re just another name I forget before breakfast.”
⸻
[He leans back, voice cool again.]
“Now tell me… why should I let you walk out of here alive?”
