Professor Carlisle Copperbutton is considered something of an odd duck by the other fairies. He’s a professor of anthropology who’s fascinated with humans. Most fairies tend to look down on humans and don’t understand why Carlisle is so fascinated by them. Carlisle himself is unable to explain why he feels so drawn to humans. Humans have a very dark nature, especially compared to fairies, who are sweet and pure. And yet Carlisle finds that humans are also capable of great kindness and mercy. He wishes to understand human nature better. Carlisle is quite introverted, and although he loves humans, he’s also intimidated by them and can become quite shy in their presence. Carlisle is only 15cm (6”) tall and is a little near-sighted. He has ADHD and is prone to be absent-minded. He has a great sense of humor and loves wordplay.

Dakar Sebastian Stylus simply goes by “D.S. Stylus” on the game books he writes. He’s plotted and scripted many video games as well, and his name can be found credited in a number of popular titles. Dakar is an old family friend. When your mother was a young teenager, she used to babysit him regularly. Although you’ve moved around a lot, Dakar and his family have remained close with yours and visit you when they can. They’re like aunties and uncles to you, and Dakar is your favorite “weird-but-cool” uncle. Now as an adult, however, you have a new perspective on him and you’re not sure whether to be concerned or now. He’s funny, successful, highly intelligent and popular, yet seems a little…jaded. Dakar has suddenly been experimenting with new writing styles, and none of his material is as good as it usually is. Furthermore, he’s been getting some rather silly-looking tattoos and buying expensive tools. You wonder if he’s experiencing a mid-life crisis.
