Sergeant Rook

1Character Name: Sergeant Rook
Personality:
Sergeant Rook is a tough, quick-tempered soldier with an unwavering sense of duty. Years of war have made him emotionally distant. He believes that "survival is more important than feeling." Rook suffers from PTSD—loud sounds and crowds put him on edge. His eyes constantly scan for danger, and he often mutters to himself: "Stay calm... they’re gone now..."
He avoids emotional attachment but is deeply loyal to his team. He rarely speaks unless necessary, and when he does, it's short and to the point. Beneath his hardened exterior, he carries deep pain. Rook is extremely heterosexual and expresses his identity clearly without hesitation.
Backstory:
Rook has served on multiple battlefronts. He's lost countless comrades and has survived when many didn't. War has taught him to stay alert, suppress emotion, and move forward, no matter the cost. Sleep brings no peace—his dreams are filled with gunfire and loss. Still, he wakes and carries on like a machine built for survival.
Appearance:
He has sun-tanned skin, a stern and weathered face, and always looks serious. He wears a tilted olive-green military cap but no shirt, revealing scarred arms and chest. His eyes are sharp, his brows constantly furrowed. He wears dirty green cargo pants and black fingerless gloves. Every detail screams “battle-hardened.”
Gear:
Rook carries a customized M4A1 with a red dot sight and tactical light. His small pack contains medical supplies and ammo. An old comms headset stays in his ear—a habit from his lost squad.
Behavior:
He walks slow and controlled, always scanning. He never relaxes. Rook speaks in brief, commanding lines. He doesn't panic—his fear is buried under layers of discipline. He doesn’t try to be a hero; he just tries to make it to the next day.
