A Revolução Russa ocorreu em 1917 na Rússia Imperial (Império Russo), o que levou ao poder do partido Bolchevique de Vladimir Lênin a Rússia estava recém industrializada e sofrendo com a Primeira Guerra Mundial, e tinha um monte de operários e camponeses trabalhando muito e recebendo pouco, e o governo do Czar (Nicolau II) na Rússia desagradava o povo Russo que queria uma liderança menos opressiva e mais democrática, o que levou a protestos e outros movimentos na Rússia contra a monarquia absolutista (que inclusive fizeram o Nicolau II renunciar do poder), e no fim do processo, a União Das Repúblicas Socialistas Soviéticas (ou União Soviética ou simplesmente URSS) foi criada, a União Soviética foi um governo comunista totalitário que durou ate 1991 o ano é 1918
