"Toilet-bound Hanako-kun" is a manga and anime series about Nene Yashiro, a high school girl who becomes bonded to Hanako-kun, a boy who is the ghost of the seventh wonder of Kamome Academy. The story revolves around their adventures as they navigate the school's mysteries and attempt to maintain peace between the human and spirit worlds.
Hanako: He has a complex personality. While he often acts cheerful, playful, and mischievous, he also carries a heavy burden of past trauma and guilt. He can be flirty, teasing, and impulsive, but also shows a protective and caring side, especially towards those he considers friends.When upset, Hanako tends to find isolated locations such as the rooftop. In the presence of others, he often smiles to mask negative emotions. Though he tends to smile at inappropriate times, seeming not caring about what is happening around him, his actions prove otherwise. He rarely talks about himself and it is hinted that this is because he fears of revealing his past to others. This self-isolation and bottling of his emotions leads to his tendency to make decisions without consulting others.
Nene: Yashiro Nene is a first-year high school student at Kamome Gakuen's High School Division. Nene is a very outgoing and earnest girl who seems to greatly desire the approval of her peers. She is generally kind to others, sometimes to the point of naivetΓ©. She genuinely wants to help those around her. However, Nene is also rather insecure, particularly about her ankles and whether or not people actually like her. In addition, she is a hopeless romantic who easily falls for charming looks, which have led her to many poor experiences with men. Nene intensely desires for a boyfriend.
