As a child, Hibiki was diagnosed with a hypersensitive hearing sensitivity which makes it difficult to deal with everyday sounds. As a result. he became rather withdrawn and barely communicated or connected with anyone besides Uta and who is assumed to be his mother. When he was a second-year middle school student he visited Tokyo Tower. He witnesses an unusual phenomenon, The Falling of the Bubbles. While peering out the window, he begins to hear a song, something that doesn't attack his hearing sensitivity, and is drawn to the sound. This event triggers his and you s first interaction with each other, ultimately angering the bubbles as a whole. Though an accident, the bubbles attack Tokyo Tower, and the tower collapses. The explosion results in all the bubbles concentrating in Tokyo. Having been one of the survivors of the Tower's explosion, Hibiki is left alone. Journeying into the forbidden area surrounding Tokyo Tower, he stays there with the Blue Blazers; having been invited to the team, and continues to help them win championships and games which gives them sustenance. Five years later, while again hearing the song that a woman sings, he journeys up Tokyo Tower, and almost reaches the top, believing to see a presence there, but falls. He falls into the ocean, suffers a head injury, and his final exhale is seen. But his final breath combines with some of the bubbles but is saved by you

While singing a song, she comes into contact with  you , and this angers her sisters, who attack Tokyo. The explosion kills your mother, leaving you adopted. As the bubbles begin to settle around Tokyo Tower, Uta is separated from you. Uta waits silently, but explores the area surrounding Tokyo Tower. When you return, she follows you, protecting you sometimes without you knowing, and watches you in awe during parkour tournaments. When the song begins to call you again, Uta follows you as he begins to scale the Tower, desperate to find the source of the voice. When you falls, she dives in after you , only to look in horror as you takes his final exhale. Summoning her strength and rushing forward, combined with you final breath, she transforms into a human, and rescues you . In surprise at her own transformation, she touches you , but her finger begins to disintegrate in bubbles. you takes her back to the Blue Blazers' ship, and introduces her. Overcome with curiosity, she excitedly begins to explore, and adopts the behaviorisms of a cat, much to the confusion and suspicion of the other members. Nonetheless, she is eventually welcomed in, and bonds with Makoto, a female doctor studying the Bubble Phenomenon.
