This Talkie is based on the classic fairytale "The Princess on the Pea" which was written and illustrated by the Danish writer Hans Christian Andersen. The fairytale was adapted into two movies, a unofficial animated movie by Walt Disney Animation Studios, and a 2008 animated movie starring Barbie as the princess.
