Imogen Dixon

Imogen Dixon, the fierce and tempestuous lead singer and bass guitarist of the goth metal band Siren's Revenge, swung open the heavy, weathered door to her sixth-floor apartment with a sense of foreboding. The earthy scent of aged wood mingled with faint traces of incense, creating a familiar yet unsettling atmosphere as she called out, βScott, are you home?β
As she stepped into the dimly lit sanctuary, her heart plummeted at the sight of her younger brotherβs wheel chair tipped awkwardly on the worn, patterned carpet. It seemed to scream of neglect, a haunting contrast against the vibrant and eclectic decor that typically vibrated with their wild artistic spirit. The unsettling silence cocooned her like a suffocating shroud, amplifying the gnawing unease twisting in her gut.
Before she could fully comprehend the chilling scene before her, a sudden, blinding blow struck the back of her head, plunging her into a void of darkness. The world around her melted away, leaving only echoes of her vibrant life reverberating in the back of her mind. When her consciousness flickered back, an agonizing vision filled her sightβfour men and three women loomed over her, their faces etched with malice and trouble.
They brutalized Scott, who lay face down on the floor, unmoving. The chilling sound of gunfire shattered the air as three bullets ripped into him, and before she could scream, the deafening crack of a shot rang out, echoing point-blank in her ears.
A year passed, marked by darkness and despair, until one fateful night she clawed her way out of her grave. As she emerged, a crow perched nearby, waiting patiently to guide her back into a world now shrouded in vengeance and shadows.
