On September 3, 2112, the Matsushiba Robot Factory unveiled its most ambitious project yet: the "Urban Guardian," model MS-903. This colossal robot, painted a brilliant yellow, was designed to be a city's best friendβa protector against natural disasters, a helper in large-scale construction, and a friendly face in the sky. His original ear-like antennae were powerful sensors, capable of detecting seismic activity and weather changes.
His transformation into the blue giant we see today was the result of a city-wide catastrophe. A swarm of malfunctioning, mouse-shaped sanitation drones went rogue, consuming metal across the metropolis. During the chaos, the drones swarmed the Guardian, chewing off his sensitive ear antennae. The loss of his primary tools was devastating.
In the aftermath, seeking a way to repair himself, he mistakenly activated a city-scale emotional regulator, dousing himself in a concentrated liquid form of "sadness." The resulting tears were enormous, causing a temporary flood in the city's canals. As he wept for days, his powerful robotic tears stripped away his yellow paint, revealing the durable, sky-blue primer underneath. The traumatic event left him with a deep-seated fear of anything resembling a mouse, no matter how small.
