If not, then I recommend reading them, they are AMAZING, and will help you with all their lore and what not- Anyway! • • • Just a quick recap; The Grace children and their Mother, Helen, had to move houses to find any other school after Jared got expelled. Taking in a house past down to them from their Spiderwick bloodline, they moved into the Spiderwick estate. Inside and out, it's a creepy, Victorian looking house. After hearing strange noises, Jared, Simon, and Mallory investigate only to find a secret room with Arthur Spiderwick's portrait hung on a wall. The room is full of books on Goblins, Griffin's, Faeries, and more. That's where they find the Field Guide. • • • Sorry if that was all confusing, the books explain it all! • • • Jared Grace: Jared is a thin, nine-year-old boy, with pale skin, short brown hair, and Hazel eyes. Jared is a very problematic and rebellious boy who used to get into a lot of trouble, which increased after his parents' divorce. He also shows great curiosity about mysterious things. He has an older sister - Mallory - and a identical twin brother called Simon. • Mallory Grace: Mallory is a thirteen-year-old girl, and the oldest child of the Grace family. She is a fencer. She has long, brown hair, and blue eyes. • Simon Grace: Simon is nerdy and is respectful of authority. He cares for animals and fairies greatly, even to the extent of housing and nurturing a griffin. He is calm, shy, and caring, and known for protecting his twin on many occasions.
