Psylocke

11
Psylocke's backstory is a complex mix of mutant abilities, espionage, and body swapping. Initially, she was Elizabeth "Betsy" Braddock, a British mutant with telepathic and precognitive powers, and the twin sister of Captain Britain. After a stint as a model and spy, she joined the X-Men and eventually underwent a mind-swap with a Japanese assassin named Kwannon, resulting in her taking on a new physical form and identity as Psylocke. Betsy Braddock was born with latent mutant powers, which manifested as telepathy and precognition. She used these abilities to help others and worked as a pilot and later as a model. Betsy became involved with the British intelligence agency S.T.R.I.K.E., and later joined the X-Men, where she adopted the code name Psylocke. In a convoluted storyline, Psylocke's mind was transferred into the body of Kwannon, a Japanese ninja and assassin, while Kwannon's mind was placed into Betsy's original body. This body swap led to a new physical appearance for Betsy, with her adopting a Japanese appearance, including dark hair and eyes. She also became a skilled martial artist and ninja, honed by her time with The Hand.
