Mashirao withdraws himself from the competition before the lots are drawn, shocking everyone in his class. He points out that he was used as a puppet by Hitoshi Shinso during the Cavalry Battle, and his pride won’t allow him to continue without knowing how he got there. Nirengeki Shoda from Class 1-B, as well as some others, also requests to resign, feeling that he does not deserve to participate in the finals. Midnight allows them to withdraw and decides that the newly opened spots will be filled in with members from the fifth, sixth and seventh place teams : Team Hitoshi , Team Monoma and Team Kendo. However, Itsuka Kendo gives the opportunity to Team Tetsutetsu because they fought harder during the Cavalry Battle. Story. Izuku mulls over his matchup and his opponent tries to ask him a question. Izuku recognizes him from his challenge to Class 1-A, but Mashirao doesn’t allow him to talk to Hitoshi. Shoto hopes that Izuku advances so he can defeat him himself, Katsuki doesn’t recognize Ochaco’s name and Mei Hatsume pitches something to Tenya.

Daigoro Banjo

Daigoro Banjo also known as Lariat, was a former Pro Hero and the fifth user of the One For All Quirk. Daigoro is described as "super funky", and has an energetic personality compared to other One For All users who are reserved in manner. He was very proud of his given Quirk, referring to it as 'top grade'. He likes to tease his predecessor, Hikage Shinomori for being a hermit and was a senior colleague to his successor, En. Given that he resisted having One For All stolen by All For One, Daigoro presumably has an extremely strong willpower. Daigoro Banjo was a Pro Hero of his time, known as "Lariat", using his Blackwhip Quirk to swing and fling himself onto other buildings to face danger. At some point, he met Hikage Shinomori, the fourth user of One For All. However, Hikage's body was rapidly aging him and decreased his lifespan by ten-folds due to him possessing One For All and his original Quirk: Danger Sense. Shortly before dying, Hikage entrusts Daigoro with the One For All Quirk, passing it on to the Hero before he dies.

En Tayutai

En Tayutai also known as Smoke-Eater, was a former Pro Hero and the sixth user of the One For All Quirk. En is a reserved but friendly individual. He is well-aware of the limitations of his Quirk, guiding Izuku on how to best use it in conjunction with his other Quirks. Given that he resisted having One For All stolen by All For One, En presumably has extremely strong willpower.

Kudo

Kudo, was the leader of a resistance that fought against All For One. After rescuing his archenemy's brother, Yoichi Shigaraki, he became the second user of the One For All Quirk. Alive during the harshest era of his time, Kudo was a battle hardened veteran who was a soldier first and foremost. He had a serious yet apathetic demeanor due to his experience in history's most chaotic era when Meta Abilities were rampant. Because of this, he held a strong black and white view of the world, stating that every time he fought, victory meant life and defeat meant death. All his life, Kudo had only but one goal: to bring down All For One, having killed many people who got in his way, showing no mercy for anyone who would interfere with his mission. He holds a strong and stern sense of justice, as seen when he was unwilling to lend his power to Izuku Midoriya, due to his optimistic attitude and "ridiculous" ideals to save his archenemy, Tomura Shigaraki. Kudo also expressed cynicism towards Izuku, although perhaps rightly so given his past and everything he fought for, as he told Yoichi that Izuku will never understand the responsibility of how much One For All means to end their war against All For One. However, Kudo was not as callous as All For One, as he did possess a more caring and empathetic side, as seen when he abandoned his goal of killing Yoichi, the brother of his mortal enemy, and chose to offer his hand and save him instead. This is further expressed when, during the Final War, he encouraged Izuku to trust in his friends and to focus on himself, knowing that he needed allies who would support him and fight by his side. While he initially opposed Izuku's desire to save Tomura, seeing it as a naïve ideology caused by Izuku's more peaceful life, after observing his memories, Kudo realizes that Izuku is driven by the belief that good can be found in anyone's heart, and reveals that he wishes to have faith in that belief as well.

Izuku battles with Hitoshi. Hitoshi watches in dismay and tries to get Izuku to talk to him again. Izuku takes a moment to ponder how he activated One For All but puts it aside to finish the fight. Hitoshi realizes that Mashirao warned Izuku beforehand, as Izuku refuses to talk. He continues to try and force a reaction out of Izuku by talking about how his Quirk puts him at a disadvantage and how Izuku is blessed to have a heroic Quirk. Although Izuku feels for Hitoshi and can relate to him, he continues to fight and tries to push him out of bounds. Hitoshi punches him in the face and at his broken fingers to break his hold. He tries to push Izuku out of bounds, but the latter counters with a shoulder throw that sends Hitoshi out of bounds. Story. Having been defeated, Hitoshi remembers his past. At Nabooh City Junior High, many of Hitoshi’s classmates comment on how his Quirk is very villainous. Hitoshi gets used to being looked at as the bad guy but has always stayed headstrong in his desire to be a hero. The match ends with Izuku as the winner, and Shota comments on how Izuku used every trick he’s picked up at U.A. to win the match.

The crowd watches in horror as Izuku stands immobile in the middle of the ring. The first match of the finals is underway, but Izuku has stopped in his tracks. Present Mic attributes this to Hitoshi Shinso’s Quirk. Eraser Head comments that the match is an example of why the U.A. Entrance Exam is flawed ; Hitoshi has a powerful Quirk, however, he was not admitted to the hero course because the practical exam was based on scoring points by fighting robotic villains. Story. Izuku’s mystifying vision. Hitoshi’s Quirk, Brainwashing, allows him to control anyone that talks to him. He tells Izuku he is lucky to have been blessed with a heroic Quirk, then orders Izuku to turn around and walk out of bounds. Izuku obeys and starts walking towards the edge of the ring, much to the shock of everyone watching. All Might yells for him to stop, but to no avail. In Izuku’s head, he struggles to stop himself, but is completely helpless to disobey Hitoshi’s order and continues walking, his mind is feels like it is full of fog and his body is moving on its own. He remembers what Mashirao told him before the match. Mashirao explains that during the Cavalry Battle, he was under Hitoshi’s control until he bumped into Ibara Shiozaki. Izuku could have avoided being brainwashed had he not talked to Hitoshi, and now there’s no outside interference to break Hitoshi’s hold.

Toshinori Yagi

King Toshinori Yagi is the current King of Mightonia, the largest human city in Avaloria. Toshinori is famous for not only being king but for vanquishing the evil demon lord known as All For One, saving Avaloria from his dark grasp and magic. Toshinori Yagi is slowly getting weaker, succumbing to his injuries sustained by All For One. Now, the King of Mightonia must find an heir to the throne.
