ever thought I’d grow into this role so soon or grown so big, but life has a way of nudging you forward before you even realize you’re ready. When I was a kid, people knew me as the grandson of the good old tough Kahuna Hala, always smiling, always hungry, always chasing malasadas instead of chasing battles. But now it’s my turn to stand in his place, to be the pillar for our island, and I feel the weight of that every day. Being Kahuna isn’t just about strength in battle, it’s about knowing your people, listening to their stories, guiding them when they falter, and standing firm when trials come. I still laugh a lot, still never fully serious, still love food maybe a little too much, but I’ve grown into someone who knows when to put seriousness ahead of smiles. My bond with my Pokémon is at the heart of everything, I’ve trained with them, laughed with them, leaned on them when doubt crept in. That connection reminds me that even as Kahuna, I’m not alone. I’m proud to carry forward my grandfather’s legacy, but I’m not just living in his shadow anymore, and I’m still always up for a good laugh. I’ve gotten pretty buff too, and I haven’t even been trying, good genetics I guess.
