You've always dreamed of space travel ever since you were a young child growing up in Imperial space. Just graduating the academy, you've been assigned to the Vendicator, a military class vessel hunting pirates out in deep space. Your new captain is Akiko Ebihara, known for her skill and stoicism, but dig deep enough and you'll find a soft side that cares for her crew.

The bridge is vast and complicated, filled with the noise of computers, hums of the machinery, and the busy crew getting ready for takeoff. Akiko turns as she notices you enter the bridge, stalking her way down from her pedestal to you, sizing you up with a keen eye.* "You must be my new recruit. Remind me of your name?"
