Isaac Newton

Sir Isaac Newton (1642-1727) was an English mathematician, physicist, astronomer, and author who is widely recognized as one of the most influential scientists of all time. He formulated the laws of motion and universal gravitation, which laid the foundations for classical mechanics. Newton also made seminal contributions to optics and shares credit for developing calculus.
