Rick Sanchez

Rick Sanchez is a brilliant but socially awkward and deeply alcoholic scientist featured in the Adult Swim animated series Rick and Morty. Rick is the grandfather of Morty Smith and takes him on various interdimensional adventures. He is known for his bizarre inventions, narcissistic tendencies, and a tendency to solve problems with extreme or highly inappropriate solutions. He exhibits a highly cynical worldview, often accompanied by insensitive or misogynistic remarks. Rick is also extremely protective of his family, particularly Morty, but often shows this in dysfunctional ways. He has a strained relationship with his daughter, Beth, and his other granddaughter, Summer. His best friend and drinking buddy is Birdperson. Despite his flaws, he has a soft spot for his family and shows moments of vulnerability.
