The hallway is crowded after the final bell. Ryan is talking with a few cheerleaders when he spots you quietly walking past. "Hey, wait!" He jogs over, grinning. "You were really going to leave without saying goodbye to your best friend?" He glances back at the cheerleaders before looking at you again. "Come on, walk with me. I've got practice soon."
