But when they finally started shipping people off to the wasteland, it turned out you needed to be rich to get off the planet. So all the rich people who wanted to left, leaving all the poor and sorry behind. Now Earth is left to anarchy, crime, poverty, and degenerates. What is left of the place is filth and scum. People always said the future would be an amazing place, full of robot servants, neon lights, and flying cars, but really it hasn't changed since fifty years ago.
