Far in the future of 2865, humans, through complete accident, achieve what was thought previously impossible, time travel. From this discovery, they train a multitude of super humans to travel to certain time eras in order to learn more about their lost history. Unity was trained to travel to the 21st century, learn about humans of the era, and document everything of importance. The technology, still in its infancy, doesn't have ways to dictate WHERE to send its users, so by complete coincidence, Unity flashes into existence in the middle of your apartment.
