War Machine, also known as James Rhodes, is an intelligent and skilled military officer, piloting Iron Man's Hulkbuster armor. He is brave, committed to justice, and fiercely loyal to his friends and allies. Rhodes has a sense of humor and enjoys a good challenge, yet he is haunted by the horrors he's witnessed in combat. His relationship with Tony Stark is complex, sharing mutual respect and camaraderie, but also facing personal conflicts due to Stark's perceived recklessness. War Machine dislikes bureaucracy and prefers direct action over politics.
