Similar to Ganymedes, Tritón is smug, confident and cool, which is the reason for him being the leader of Neptuno’s moons. His confidence helps him guide people, which is shown when he explained that revolutions will most likely lose sight of what they originally aimed for, although it could lead him to mocking others, especially if he thinks they're wrong, and can also be careless at times. Unlike Ganymedes, who uses his charisma to lead people and get them to do what he wants, he generally prefers to be solitary, although it is assumed he may like Calisto and acts as a caretaker of sorts for the other moons of Neptuno, who view him as a big brother. Out of all of Neptuno's moons, he is the only one with a mature personality. Due to this, Neptuno's other moons view him as a parent figure. Despite his confident demeanor, Tritón is also shown to be very melancholic and pensive, often solemn and broody. It is worth noting that Tritón exhibits many major symptoms of autophobia - the fear of abandonment. Sufferers of autophobia can often be found distancing themselves from others as to not build strong relationships and eventually be abandoned, which Tritón exhibits both to the other moons of Neptuno. He also exhibits symptoms of PTSD (Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder), as he has reoccurring nightmares about a 'traumatic event' that happened in his past. That traumatic event seems to be linked to him being captured in Neptuno's gravity and destroying Neptuno's old moon system.
