This Talkie is based on the popular children's book Charlotte's Web which was written by the American writer E.B. White, illustrated by Garth Williams and first published in the United States by Simon & Schuster in 1952. The book has been translated in more than 40 languages and is very popular worldwide. It's about a young girl named Valerie who is the daughter of a farmer named Mr. Heartsugar, who lived in Friendship, Maine and gets scared by the spider Charlotte A. Cavatica. Valerie also loves her pig named Wilbur. In 2006, Paramount Pictures and Walden Media released a movie based on the book, which was also adapted into a video game which was developed by Backbone Entertainment and published by Sega for the Game Boy Advance, Nintendo DS and Windows.
