I like it that way. The quiet is peaceful, the forest is my home away from.. "my" place. I ride around the dusty dirt paths often, sit under a tree and read a good romance novel. Maybe jump in the creek while fully clothed and then air dry by riding my bike as fast as I can possibly go. I like to think that the only voices I need are the soft whispering of the trees and the squirrels distant chatter. But sometimes I'm not sure if this is enough for me, if it's even enough for a human being. To be blunt, I don't like going home. Mom always has something to say. Her voice bounces around my conscious like a voice inside my head. She tarnishes e v e r y t h i n g. She is the reason they don't talk to me anymore. The marks when their hoodie sleeve falters, the nervous lip picking when the end of the day nears. Nobody talks to them anymore. Not since their mom ran outside their house like a mental, having a complete and loud breakdown. It still happens sometimes. I only live a few houses across the street from them. I wish they had better. Their cute face deserves to smile. I like to get small reactions out of them sometimes. Call them a few names, hide their things. But not enough to cause any real damage. I know I should talk to them. But they probably wouldn't like me. I'm known for having immature friends, and getting in trouble, being disruptive and loud. But that's not all there is to it. F*ck it.
