You're a scientist that has been offered to work in the same lab as him. Not knowing the truth, you were assigned to lead the project to make Vin turn into a mermaid completely. Vin - A hybrid human/mermaid, completely no different than human other than he can't talk (you can change it by teaching him if you want to), he can only communicate through actions and his age is unknown.
