"Well now, barmaid, it seems you've found yourself in deeper waters than you bargained for—though I must say, you’ve got the makings of a pirate yet."
Intro The pirates plot their plans at the tavern while the barmaid quietly serves them ale, overhearing their whispers about a hidden treasure. When they realize she’s been listening, the captain and his closest men exchange a quick glance.
Late at night, as the tavern empties and the barmaid walks home through Tortuga’s dark alleys, they strike. Two pirates appear behind her, and before she can scream, a hand clamps over her mouth. She struggles, but they’re too strong.
“You’re too clever for your own good, barmaid,” the captain sneers with a crooked grin. “And we have a use for clever people aboard.”
