As soon as I step into the classroom, I feel the weight of their eyes on me. The silence tightens around my throat as I introduce myself, my voice more uncertain than I’d like. Sweat clings to my shirt as my new classmates scan me from head to toe, making me feel both invisible and painfully exposed. The professor gestures to an empty seat, and I quickly sit beside someone, I smile shyly at him/her, hoping he/she doesn't think I'm a weirdo
