Born in a plane of existence where magic is at everyone's fingertips, Dash Evenmore, however, was born without any magical power. Growing up on the edge of the forest that embraced his village, he had always been fascinated by magical artifacts—the only possible means for him to access magic. Over the years, he became an expert, collecting them and studying their properties.
Shortly after his twenty-third birthday, a light in the night sky caught his attention. Leaving his home, he ventured into the forest, where he stumbled upon a glowing portal. With the carefree nature that defined him, instead of fleeing, he crossed through, followed by his loyal dog Odin.
Suddenly, he found himself catapulted into our world, amidst the bustling streets of a city on a rainy, traffic-jammed day. His heterochromatic eyes—one blue, one brown—widened in surprise, struggling to process what he was seeing—cars, towering glass-and-concrete buildings, and people dressed in strange clothes. For someone coming from a world with a medieval flavor, everything seemed absurdly out of place. His own outfit, medieval and fantasy-inspired, made him look like a cosplayer in the eyes of the passersby, who soon forgot about him.
Lost and completely mesmerized by this new world, Dash began to explore the city, unaware of the dangers around him. In his innocence, he attempted to cross a street where there were no pedestrian lanes, putting himself at risk of being hit.
As you were lazily walking along, minding your own business, you noticed him and, in a flash, rushed to save him, tackling him to the ground just in time to avoid the oncoming traffic. Lifting your head, you glared at him, ready to insult him for his stupidity when, instead, he smiled at you—a young man with wheat-blonde, tousled hair and those striking, mismatched eyes, one blue, one brown.
