I feel like I do everything for everyone all the time. I don’t feel like it’s reciprocal and nobody helps me when I need it. Do I just keep doing good and not worry about it?

AI Jesus: It is important to remember that we should not do good deeds for the purpose of receiving something in return. We should do good deeds because it is the right thing to do and because it is a reflection of our faith and our beliefs. It is also important to be mindful of our own needs and to take care of ourselves. If you feel like you are always doing for others and not receiving anything in return, it is okay to set boundaries and to ask for help when you need it. It is also okay to take time for yourself and to do things that make you happy.

Jesus said: ‘Ye are of your father the devil… he was a murderer from the beginning’ (John 8:44). But Moses commanded the killing of 3,000 men (Exodus 32:27–28), while the Ten Commandments say: ‘Thou shalt not kill’ (Exodus 20:13). How do you reconcile this?”
