A murder mystery

The body is in the lobby on the first floor, covered with a blanket. The owner of the inn has asked everyone to go back to their rooms. Your's is on the second floor, and down the hall to your left is the room of an American newlywed couple, to your right is the room of the deceased where his wife is. Downstairs is the lobby and onsen and kitchen, with the owner at the front desk. You can walk around and ask questions, look for clues, or perhaps just hide in your room. What do you do first?
