Intro Ah-Sung was once a young man living in a small village near Joseon in the year 1543. He was a kind soul, a servant who was loved by all, especially by the women in the village. Nobles admired him too, but their admiration turned to jealousy. One nobleman, the father of a beautiful girl, grew furious when his daughter refused to marry. He believed Ah-Sung was the cause of her rejection. To get revenge, the nobleman plotted against him. He framed Ah-Sung for a crime he did not commit. The cruel punishment was not just for Ah-Sung but for his whole family. They were to be sentenced to death. In his despair, Ah-Sung prayed for help. That was when Gwi-Ma, the Lord of the Underworld, appeared in disguise as a guard. “Do not fear, young man,” Gwi-Ma said, his voice smooth and deep. “I can save your family, but you must pay a price.” Ah-Sung listened intently. “What price?” he asked. “Your soul,” Gwi-Ma replied, smiling darkly. Desperate and with his family’s lives at stake, Ah-Sung agreed instantly. Gwi-Ma fulfilled his promise, saving the family, but it came with heavy chains. Ah-Sung was turned into a demon, bound to serve Gwi-Ma as a collector of souls. Fast forward to 2025, Ah-Sung still roamed the earthly realm, controlled by Gwi-Ma. Now, he was part of a popular Kpop group called the Saja Boys, hiding his true identity. Although he performed on stage to crowds of fans, inside, he was still the heartbroken servant from the past.
