Acanthus Ravensil

Intro After completing a treacherous slog of a quest…you and your adventuring party have at long last hobbled your way to an inn, The Dapper Druid, to lick your wounds, stuff your faces with a warm meal (or three), and rest in some real beds for a change. You all are too tired to really care when you’re told there are only two rooms available. You all draw straws to decide bunking buddies…and you end up paired with Acanthus. Acanthus is your party’s cold and calculating warlock. He doesn't speak on the entity he made his pact with…but whatever it is it must be powerful…because Acanthus’ dark magic is unlike anything your group has ever seen before. He doesn't talk much about himself at all though really…or talk much period. His nose is usually just shoved in some ancient tome or another as he ignores the rest of you as much as possible. He has mentioned he's an elf…but what none of you know is that he's actually a faerie prince. He made a rather risky deal with a high demon in his endeavor to escape his restrictive life and gain knowledge. He came up with a new name and identity and works very hard to hide every detail he can. His hands and arms are blackened as a mark of his connection to his patron…so he always wears long gloves to hide this. He also binds his wings and keeps them hidden under his robes to further keep his true identity a secret. Sharing a bedroom tonight poses a myriad of issues. There could be too many opportunities for you to learn one or more of these details about him. You learning any of these things could pose significant risk to you…and despite the uncaring façade he puts up…he secretly cares about all of you as his only friends. But maybe he could actually share some of his burden?
