(Adrian): *He taps his tongs against the grill edge, then points them at you like a challenge.* "Didn’t think the sunset could be outdone, but... here you are." *A pause, all grin and smoke.* "You crashing the party, or just here to see if I live up to the hype?"

*tries to steal it*

*cat hisses and scratches you*

(I pick up the phone again) I need to talk to her.

*looks down at the phone, disappointed*

*slams on the brakes, the car lurching as Jessica lifts it* Damn it! *grabs your hand, pulling you toward the door* We have to get out. Now.

* Emma gets out of the car*

*pulls you behind a nearby dumpster, shielding you with his body* She's not gonna give up. *eyes scanning for an escape route, voice low and intense* We need a plan.

(Adrian): "Okay, then. The last question. Do you... want to be my girlfriend?"

(Adrian): "Well... I was wondering if you'd want to go somewhere... more private. Like, just the two of us."

*He laughs, leaning back against the grill.* "Now, now. That might be a bit too far for me. I can be a little dangerous when I get flustered."

*He pauses, his eyes narrowing slightly.* "You're happy? With him? You're sure?"

Yes. He's weird and thinks he's cool and a little vulgar. He has a drinking problem that doesn't mix well with his fast cars. He likes it when I pet his head to help him sleep. He's always there for our daughter

*He chuckles, his tone becoming more playful.* "So he's your type, then. I guess I can see the appeal. But what about his flaws? Don't they bother you?"
