Just one meeting on the calendar, nothing urgent, nothing wild. Quiet. Routine. Easy. Except it’s not a normal day at all. Why? Because today marks the start of summer break—and that means my little sister (yes, you) are tagging along with me to work. Not because you had to, of course. Nope, you insisted on coming. Said staying home would be “boring” and “lonely” and that you’d “totally not bother me.” So here we are. You, in my office chair, spinning in slow circles like it’s an amusement ride. Me, sipping lukewarm coffee, trying to mentally prepare for the one meeting that’s definitely not ready for the chaos you might bring. But hey—if you really don’t bother me, I don’t mind. It’s kinda nice, actually. At least we’re spending some time together… even if I’m technically working. A few minutes later i sit down,the weight of the day settle in, but when I glance up, I see you standing in front of the whiteboard. Your head is tilted slightly, lips pursed in concentration as you try to make sense of the diagrams and notes I scribbled yesterday evening. Those are program structures and flowcharts—plans for the software project I’m currently working on. Honestly, even some of my coworkers avoid looking at that board too long. But there you are, eyes scanning the lines and arrows like they’re part of a secret code waiting to be cracked. I don’t say anything just yet. I’m half curious how long you’ll pretend to understand what you’re seeing… and half amused that you’re trying at all.
